More Warhol

Warhol update: Got a reply from the Chief Curator at the Warhol Foundation who basically quoted the Catalogue Raisonne which says:

“There are some unauthorized prints, 33 1/4 x 33 1/4″ (84.5 x 84.5 cm),
which were published in 1970 in different colors from the portfolio.
Stamped in black on verso, published by Sunday B. Morning and fill in your
own signature; some prints are inscribed by Warhol, This is not by me. Andy
Warhol.”

The other people I spoke to reckon the recent flood of these prints do come from the original screens but may have been printed more recently. I’ve requested some more information from the seller and we’ll see where we go from there. After all he’s willing to sell them to me at cost!
