Strange voices

On other train lines you often get a soothing female voice to inform you to ‘mind the gap’ or indeed to ‘stand clear of the doors’. It’s the subtle tone that encourages you to do as you are told and not to obstruct the doors or slip between the train and the platform.
Since I have started my new job I have mostly been scooting into work ‘cos the journey is about 35 minutes against the tube, which after three changes and a bus, takes just about an hour. Today, however, I decided that it was too wet to ride and I trundled off to my local Piccadilly line station where I caught a train. Just as the train is entering the station a male recorded voice announces the usual warning of ‘mind the gap’ and ‘stand clear of the doors’. What is slightly disconcerting is the fact that the voice sounds just like evil pop peddler Simon Cowell. Not only that, the way he says it sounds like he is telling an idiot to do something totally obvious, like I’m some kind of fool!
Please Piccadilly line management, introduce a more pleasant and calming voice in the morning instead of one that just makes me want to go home again and feel totally inadequate!
