Only a lunatic…
Ok, so it’s now 10.57 on monday morning and I’ve come straight from a field in Pilton to work in London! I must be mad! I have however managed to arrive back before all of my equipment. That was ferried by those nice chaps and chapettes from R1 and R6music. They’ve got in their car the sum total of my weekends work which I need to complete and deliver as soon as possible to complete my weekends task.
As for my first Glastonbury, well, nothing can truly compare you for your first time. I was a proper Glasto Virgin and really endure my baptism by water! Although I got their during the biblical downpour I managed to avoid getting my tent washed away. I was witness to the deluge that was broadcast around the world and lived with the aftermath for the following 3 days. Everywhere I went in my wellies (thank you B&Q!) was more than ankle deep in mud even when the sun had been shining for the last two days. But that’s all part of the experience.
…and the music, well that speaks for itself.
It ROCKED!
